Merry Christmas everyone!
Unfortunately I'm still not feeling great but being in a nice hotel does help. We are due to go for our Christmas meal that we've booked for today, we decided to go there at around 2pm. They rang about breakfast again and James asked if he could get toast brought to the room, which they did. I'm not feeling hungry still, but if I'm going to eat anything it's going to be Christmas dinner. We got a tuk tuk to Fort Cochin to the Old Lighthouse hotel. When we got there the place looked lovely, there were tables all set up similar to wedding tables outside on the grass. In the middle there were three tables set up, one with buffet starters, one huge table with main course and then a dessert table. There was a guy dressed up as Santa again who brought us some sweets. Drinks were included too which was even better. We had a mixture of salad starters and then turkey, vegetables and curried potatoes for main. James had fruit and ice cream for dessert too. I didn't eat a lot but it was a really nice afternoon. The hotel was right next to the beach in Fort Cochin and we could see that there were a lot of people on there so after we'd finished our meal we went to the beach to see what was going on. When we got there, there seemed to be some sort of kite flying competition. There were people selling kites and lots of people flying them, there was also a football pitch set up for a beach football match. There were also lots and lots of Indian families down right in the sea fully clothed splashing about.
We got a tuk tuk back to the hotel and spent the evening watching Christmas films on the tv. I was shattered at the end of today probably because I've not eaten that much, so it didn't take long before I was asleep!
