We tried an ATM machine as we had no rupees to get a taxi, for some reason it didn't work so we walked outside. There were so many people out there, we were approached by a couple of men asking where we were going, it was hard to know whether to trust them or not but it seemed as if that was their job to help passengers find their hotels etc. In the end one of them rang our hotel and got us a free transfer. It felt very surreal at this point being here not knowing how things work. Someone came to meet us and put our luggage onto a trolley, we walked for a little bit, he then flagged down a taxi! This seemed very bizarre, we thought he would be the driver but it seemed he had only come to escort us to the hotel. James had mentioned about the ATM and he said there was one at the hotel and he would take us there first. We drove for a little while, Indians seem to love beeping their horns at each other, it was non stop! The driver drove past the hotel entrance and through a gate which had to be opened by someone, we seemed to be at the back of the hotel but there was a little room lit up with just an ATM machine in, James jumped out and managed to get some money. We then got taken to the front of the hotel and taken to the reception. We finally got checked in at around 4.00am, we got to our room which we were over the moon with, it was amazing! Then the bell boy came to the door with our bags. We were so glad to have got all that done and dusted. Time to finally sleep!
