Kooyoora Day 2 - back in Bendigo, Victoria
Slept under the stars for the first time EVER! We all lined up in a row in our sleeping bags and slept out under the night time sky. I still had a tough time sleeping, being elbowed in the head by Chris and Jie, on top of being hot and sweaty in my sleeping bag. After brekky we went back to the water drop site to get some water for the day. We hiked to the caves - a more touristy place - where we took turns squeezing between these two rock that created a claustrophobic space. It was fun, I felt like Indiana Jones in The Temple of Doom when the walls were closing in on him in that room with the spikes. I did need a boost to get out of the awkward exit, but other than that it was solo work. After that we went in the caves. It sucked for me because I don't have a head torch (trying to save $$$), just a hand torch (flashlight). Crawling on our hands and knees as well as our stomachs was fun and adventurous. There were times when I thought, "Wow. This really does not seem safe." But whatever, live in the moment! When caving was finished we ate lunch and hiked up a nice hill for a pretty view. There, we were giving more time to write in our journals. Finally we headed back down to the car park to head back home.
