When we drove across the state line into Texas we expected nothing other than desert, cowboys and sun.....It hasn't stopped raining, its all green hills and worse of all no cowboys.
Given the weather it was hard to see alot of Houston as it was a huge city. We decided to watch some baseball as the Houston Astros (we had no idea what the teams name was until we got in the stadium) were playing some mob called the Pirates. We decided to go for the cheapest seats which ended up costing a dollar each, yes a dollar. We used that as an excuse to spend about $30 on hot dogs and food. Had no idea what was going on but they won and we also saw three packets of crisps have a race!!!!!
On the way to Austin we stopped in a small town called Luling, Texas which was rumoured to have the best BBQ in the state, and they take BBQ very seriously. After eating two pound of meat we wont disagree. You enter a black room which is the pit where three men in hard hats are slaying meat. It looked like something out of a horror movie, plus you smell like a BBQ for days. Sam has never smelled more tempting to Bobby!!!!!!!!
