On the way to Flagstaff went on a detour (basically got lost) through the Indian Reservations and visited the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the United States, Sky City. Arrived in Santa Fe and before we could check into the hotel decided to attempt White Water Rafting through the mountains down the Rio Grande River. We travelled a scenic 6 miles down the river through amazing scenery, in which Sam screamed for about 5 miles. We didn't actually fall out the boat but did hit every rock in the river. After a 13 hour non-stop drive through the night via El Paso on the Mexican Border on which we entertained ourselves with crosswords and a geography quiz for Sam (got 4/25...shocking) we arrived in Albuquerque NM.
