New Orleans is amazing. Every person in the city is either singing on street corners, playing instruments or just partying!!!

It has a very similar feel to other southern towns, just on a much larger scale but Bourbon Street is unlike anything we have every seen, anywhere. Its a 24 hour street full of individual bars, all with live bands. People fill the street and drink and party outside between bars. We went back the next morning for breakfast and people were still partying.

We were lucky to be there for Independance Day so watched the fireworks by the river and then a ghetto brass band turned up and everyone started dancing in the street.

Tried to eat as much Southern food as possible (Gumbo, jambalya etc) which is cool. When waiting for a table more people turn up outside and start singing, then everyone would join in, again. Surreal!

Our B & B was also amazing and when we got back at 3 in the morning hit the pool or the hot tub. Also wine and cheese hour at 5 was a big hit with us. We love anything free, ecspecially wine.
