Seattle is very similar to Portland in that it is very laid back and has some very strange people, but on a much larger scale.
On the first day we took a stroll along the waterfront area which was like any other with loads of sea food resturants. Also strolled through old downtown, Pioneer Square, which looked very historic but was very attractive.
In the morning we visited both of Seattles most famous landmarks. The Pike market area was brilliant. It looked like any other Market but had stands from all over the world and it was massive. About three city blocks. We sampled a bit of the food including a Russian pastry and also stumbled across the worlds best cheesecake. Stopped at the famous fish market where people just throw fish about and shout.
Then we headed to the space needle which is a 600ft viewing tower. The views were very cool as Seattle is on a harbour and has a huge downtown. Plus more brave points for Bobby!!!
