Amy's travels
Hey everyone,
Well, week three is nearly over - I can't believe how quickly time is flying by. The week on ward 4 (supposedly gastroenterology and neurology but actually a mix of everything as there are never any beds for patients on the right wards) has gone well. I've seen loads of patients and lots of interesting clinical signs. In fact, I am heading back to the ward in a bit to feel a goitre, a pulsatile liver and hear some heart murmurs (not everyones idea of fun but quite exciting to me!).
Tomorrow Helen and myself are heading out to the Orang Asli museum about 25km north of KL. It's supposed to be really good and all about the aboriginal peoples of Malaysia and Malaysian history (plus, it makes us feel very cultured and grown up...). My flatmate Janice is then taking us to the local night market in the evening. We haven't really decided about Sunday yet but are toying with the tropical bird sanctury and a really nice meal - maybe in Little India. I'll update you all on Monday.
We've been busy busy planning our travels this week - calling hostels and organising flights etc. We're doing a whistle-stop tour of the sights of West Malaysia :)
I hope you are all well,
Love Amy x x x
