Hey everybody, I hope you are all well. Today we went to the hospital and started our placements. Mum, you will be pleased to know that we have been placed in hospital accomodation (at the almighty price of two pounds fifty per day!) in a tower block next to the hospital. It has swipe card access and security guards on the gate, as well as a swimming pool! We are sharing flats with other female medical students who seem friendly. We have been allocated to wards and it seems that we'll be attending teachings and ward rounds in the morning, with the afternoons to ourselves to explore KL. The staff are really friendly and seem keen to let us go and travel if that's what we want to do. This afternoon we walked up to the petronas towers and had a look inside the shopping centre at the bottom (that's where I am right now!) but we haven't been to the top as we promised Will we'd wait for him to get here! We are now off to walk round the gardens at the bottom of the towers, then back to the hotel for a swim and a final night of air conditioned luxury! I will be in touch soon, Love Amy x
