Nannette and Poppy Den No I did not know that about Cassowaries, Will..... I'm not sure but I think the same applies for the emu??
re: Daintree RainforestNannette and Poppy Den The hot springs would be really good during winter … Are you sure that it was roast chicken for tea?? Not emu??
re: Lorella SpringsNannette and Poppy Den The croc cruise sounds good, but I'm not sure whether I'm game enough to go on one.... I wonder what has happened to Brutus?? the wave pool and slides sound like great fun
re: DarwinNannette and Poppy Den Cane toad bashing.....they are horrible creatures..... sounds like a beaut day . thank goodness there were no freshies wanting to nibble on your toes
re: Edith falls / NitmilukNannette and Poppy Den Aaah this was one of the favourite spots from your last visit. an underwater adventure playground :)
re: MatarankaNannette and Poppy Den The truckie would have had a long days drive. It was a pity that you couldn't find your thongs from your last visit.
re: Banka Banka and Daly WatersNannette and Poppy Den Aboriginal legends are very interesting. Gosh, you saw lots more on your river cruise than Poppy and I saw on one of our cruises, when we were away. I have never heard of a Jesus bird!! or the snake neck darter bird.
re: Kakadu - Nourlangie and Yellow WaterNannette and Poppy Den Oh how I would have loved to see the butterflies... they remind me of NanNan. The lava tubes sound interesting... I look forward to hearing more about them when you get home
re: Mt Surprise/UndaraNannette and Poppy Den Wow, what an interesting type of fish is the barramundi. I didn't know that they didn't have teeth..... sounds like they are very elusive to catch. Yes it was a disappointing finish to the grandfinal …. Ricky was very wise in his decision of not expressing his thoughts.
re: KarumbaNannette and Poppy Den Oh ouch... the sandflies!! It would have been great to catch a barra! At least you tried,
re: BurketownNannette and Poppy Den Gee, what a great day! Ha ha I love the reference to John Williamson's song "Old man Emu".
re: Lawn HillNannette and Poppy Den The Dinosaur Museum would be extremely interesting.
re: Longreach to Winton to west of Cloncurry to CamoowealNannette and Poppy Den The Stockman Hall of Fame sounds very interesting. I have heard of Jigsaw, the Brahman, before.
re: Augathella to longreach- last visited
