September 8- Today we crossed the NT border about twenty minutes west of Camooweal. We drove about 400 km on a straight road but we stopped at Barkly homestead for morning tea. The landscape was flat and dry, we saw lots of termite mounds, dead cows and lots of road kill. Then we stopped at the Three Ways which is an intersection where you can go south, east or north we went north towards Darwin. When we were driving I spoke to a truckie on the radio. He drove a toll road train we saw him a few times before that day. I ask him where he was going he said he was going to Darwin, same as us but he would be there tonight and we probably won't be for about a week. We arrived at Banka Banka Station after another 100 km of straight road. We went and saw two donkeys and a Brahman calf and the Brahman mother cow. Then we went for a walk up a rocky hill and watch the sun set.
September 9 - Today we drove from Banka Banka to Daly Waters. When we woke up we had bacon and eggs for breakfast. Then drove to Daly Waters and stopped for ice-blocks, when we got to Daly Waters we saw all their collections of all sorts of stuff from tourists such as, licences, bras, hats, money from other countries and a lot more. Outside there is also a place where you can put your thongs with your name and where you are from, we put one there on our last trip but sadly we could not find it. There was also a place where you could put your number plats. We went for a swim in the pool and spa. When we got back to the caravan after sunbaking we went and had a shower and got dressed for the beef and barra BBQ. There was a lady singing for a while then a man sung and told some jokes. We didn't go to bed very late because we had to get up early in the morning and hit the road.

Nannette and Poppy Den The truckie would have had a long days drive. It was a pity that you couldn't find your thongs from your last visit.
