Day 27:
Love, love, love the colours of the ocean and the skies up here I just want to mix paints to try to capture the beauty of it all but what I see and have in my head does not end up on any canvases so photos will have to do but I will try and I know I am very trying to some. Wally is not to answer that statement.
One of the things about Coral Bay is there is no normal water. They do have in the caravan park a place to go to for some drinking water but I am not sure of quality. The showers are fed from artesian bores and are salty, more so than our pool. The temp from the shower water is also hot and that is from the cold tap as in you do not have to turn on any hot water at all. So, you come swimming from the ocean and go have a shower to unsaltify yourself and it is still salty. No shampoo in my hair for days but we still feel fresh and no one has commented on our smell as everyone smells the same. Speaking of swimming for those of you who know my sinking husband he can actually float in this ocean it is so salty, hallelujah we all say.
We were awoken again this morning by the loud neighbour next door yelling 'morning' down the phone at someone, she then has it on speaker so both of them can talk to whomever, luckily they left today and we can all sleep in tomorrow.
Today has been lazy we went for a walk along the beach in both directions as far as we could but being high tide we were stopped by water levels. Back to the van for lunch and a crossword before the intrepid discoverer ventured off to do the walk again as the rocks were a trifle hard on my knees and soft sand walking not a great thing for me. He has come back with some amazing photos of all the reef sharks he found a kilometre or so along from where we all are snorkelling. They haven't lost any in this area that we know of so still safe. The day has been absolutely sparkling, pleasant temp with a soft breeze.
We are off to Carnarvon tomorrow for a couple of days, not such a long drive either but heading south on our turn around. Hugs and love to all. Happy to see us making you envious Cathy, soon it will be you. xxx
