Day 45:
Left Mt Trio Bush camp sadly today as it was a delightful interlude in our travels. The day not so stunning again but we only had 142kms to drive so we just plodded along. Stopped at Box Hill crossing for a cuppa. Sign said 'awesome expresso coffee and homemade cake and food, fuel, fishing supplies (strange) etc. Hah, all we got was a grumpy non-smiling woman who made a coffee and hot chocolate (erch milk and drinking choc mix) and was not a happy chappy in her working environment in the middle of nowhere much. Burnt sausage rolls in oven on bench….erch.
Arrived at Bremer Bay, been before, my lightbulb moment was 'it's the place with the windmill that makes a noise all night' W: 'nup you have the wrong place it doesn't have a wind mill' 1km further on W: oh, look it has a wind turbine. I had actually meant a turbine but hah. Staying in the same caravan park as previous and we also have the same neighbours we have had at Albany, Mt Trio and now here.
Beautiful, beautiful beaches with white sand. Oh, my goodness after red dust it is such a joy to behold. My car mat is now mingled with red and white, maybe a pink variation. Did a drive around the southern side of town onlooking onto the Southern Ocean. Magnificent, same pics, same beaches but heh we are the older but maybe not wiser. Just love gazing at the ocean, although love the bush and surrounds this is just my 'coastal being' being sustained and comforted.
The day may look sunny but not so much, we did the pics between cloud banks and we have both been in jumpers most of the day.
Thanks Margaret for your comment always lovely to hear from friends, family would be nice but apparently not happening. Someone loves us somewhere at least.
So, for today that is it. Mwah
