Day 26:

A fairly ordinary day in a beautiful extraordinary spot of this lovely country. Slept really well cause I was drugged - Phenergan for the mozzie bites, why oh why am I so sensitive to them. Raised pus filled lumps and itchy as anything. The drugs are leftovers from my time in Prosepine Hospital last year and work really well to knock me out, always a good thing my other half may say. We were awoken by the voice of a mother next door talking to her son on speaker about a metre from our open window at 6:20 am. We now know everything happening in their family and not very interesting really.

So, after a leisurely breakfast we donned our gear for a swim in these beautiful waters. Me in my snorkel gear with a noodle and rashie and so forth not a great look but the things we do. We are so close to the beach we thought, fantastic, but I was so disappointed. Four years ago I had the most delightful time snorkelling this spot with thousands of fish, of all varieties swimming with me only metres from shore. Now a few, so disappointing, although the snapper 40 cms in length just swimming between our legs, so yummy but illegal to catch unfortunately. The beaches magnificent, the best snorkelling has been moved a 1.5 km down the coast, walking only which we may do tomorrow. My knees not coping so well with the snorkelling and flippers and I do hate doing it without my partner in crime. Went for another swim this arvo and the weather is fairly lovely with a great evening breeze and roast pork wafting on the smell waves.

So for today it is over and out from us and we haven't taken any photos either so the top photo does not fit but I cant post unless I add one so this is from yesterday, promise I will do more tomorrow, love to my new viewer, hopefully, Manni Moo Moo in the wee small hours of the mornings. xxxx
