Well here we are home again over a month since being on the farm. We spent the time in the Yarra Valley just relaxing mainly, weather was cold for most of the time and wet. Our dearest Karina came and spent four days with us. Painful going to airport to do the pickup but we went via Yarra Glen and bipassed Melbourne. Silly girl may have…
Margaret Happy birthday for Sunday Elaine. Can't think of a nicer place to have a birthday. Enjoy the rest of your travels. xx

re: The highs and lows of AlbanyKim My favourite church. My relatives all got married here and christened as well. Sunday school my Mum and Dad dropped us off and came back after to pick us up. For my Dads funeral no seats left so people stood outside. On the other side of Oyster Harbour are the fish traps that the Aborigines used before white man. Made ofvrocks placed in half circles and used the tides. Big shady trees for the store and you can just image them resting, children playing and have time together waiting. Really poor signage for such a historic place. Xxx
re: The highs and lows of AlbanyKim Mum really enjoyed your visit and is fascinated with this dairy farm thats automated. Thanks so much for popping in ans spending some time with her. Xx
re: The highs and lows of AlbanyKim Hayes It was such a beautiful catch up. So wish it was possible to do more often xXxX
re: So much love and laughterGail Hi. You didn't comment on the pies but the last time we tried them they had gone off. Ross didn't even rate that one. Its a pity you didn't get to see the buildings in Greenough because my great, great, grandfather and mother got married in the old school house. She was 14 and very pregnant we found out when we did the family tree. Also he was a builder and built the church in Dongara and my grandmother was bought up in Mingenew. Go and have a look at the house on the corner 26 William St and that is the house. e built that and he was the first Roads Board president in Mingenew. His picture is in the museum. Linthorne is the family name. It has been beautifully renovated by the current owners. There should be a pub in the main street opposite the railway line because he built that as well and they ran it for a while. See you on Monday. The forecast is for better weather! xx
