After a good nights sleep we headed for the Neptune breakfast. There was pretty much everything there incl champers and juice. There were a few speakers incl Rich Ross and Mark Callaghan. They had elected an aquarist of the year and since he was from the Minnesota club they got Angie to introduce him. She did well despite the beer and several champagnes to settle her nerves lol
We went for our first good check out of the floor and attended a number of talks across the day. We both went to James Fatheree, Joe Yaiullo, Eric Cassiano & Pete went to Bob Fenner.
While in the hall we spotted Ania fawning like a total d*** over Julian so I went up and thanked him for the previous night (2 little fishes sponsored it) and said its been a great night and how awesome it had been to talk to him at length while behind the scenes. It was hilarious, she was all, where was this? And I took great pleasure in replying at the VIP night lol
The buses came and collected us all at 6.30 and we set off for the wharves. The venue for the meet and greet was awesome, we walked down the pier beside the Midway and at the end were food trucks. Inside there was a massive buffet which was mostly Mexican. We never made it to the food tucks having had way more than enough from the free buffet side. In fact much later we used the food truck vouchers as drink vouchers once the large supply from Tim and Jeff finally ran out. It has to be noted we didn't drink them all, we shouted drinks for some friends both old and new. The band was pretty good if a bit too loud, mainly playing old beach you California kind of music.
At about 10 there were fireworks launched off the midway deck which were great. The buses to take us back left at about 11 and we headed up to one of the parties.
