Yesterday was pretty much taken up with driving across a few states; from Minnesota through Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and into Michigan. We arrived at Tal's about 7pm and he had dinner ready to go. His home improvement efforts have made such a big difference. We spent some time just chatting on the deck before crashing well after midnight.
We were woken by a car alarm very near by going off around 10. Tal made us blueberry pancakes for breakfast which we had on the deck. He then took us to the local farmers market and we picked up some corn, apples and pears.
We had a lazy arvo mostly on the back deck chatting.
We left for Detroit at 4.30, traffic was not good and there were several accidents along the way. We eventually got there, parked and walked along the river to the stadium. That's when we were informed I couldn't take my bag in. What a pain. We had to walk back to the car, drop off my bag and walk back to the stadium.
From there it was all pretty good. The game was super fast and exciting. The final score was 4-2 to the red wings.
Back at Tal's for the night we had a drink and chatted via Skype with Matt in Duluth before heading for bed.
