It's been a busy few days. We left Moorhead early and drove through the boring plains of Minnesota, same same but different to the boring plains of North Dakota.
We detoured to Red Wing in the hopes of buying some gear from Dirk but he wasn't there so just turned around and went back to Minneapolis.
We arrived at Kevin and Angies at about 5pm in the Friday night. We settled in then went out to an Italian family style restaurant. Awesome meal, they had discount vouchers and also a deal that if it was less than 30 days since your birthday they'd give the table a free cake. Slightly embarrassing when the staff came to our table and sang happy birthday to Kevin and me but hey, free cake lol
Saturday we were up early and off to the cruise for the troops. I went with Kevin in the hellcat and Pete with Dave in Angies car. Angie had another gig, a gay friends second wedding celebration to go to so she wasn't with us.
The hellcat is a wild ride! Once the guys were registered we wandered and checked out all the bikes and cars that were lined up for the cruise. There was merchandise and I bought a couple of souvenir stubby holders and a hoodie.
The actual drive (cruise) was super cool. People, particularly kids lined the road and waved as we all passed.
Back at the start point Kevin put in a bid on a GB Packers souvenir in the silent auction in the hope of making a GBP fan pay more. It sort of backfired and he had to pay $50 for something he not only didn't want but it was in support of his teams arch enemy lol
We left there about 4pm and headed out to where Angie had been all day to pick her up. Her best mate, one of the grooms wanted to join us so we collects him too so all five of us set off to Mystic Casino. We went to the steak restaurant there and had an amazing steak dinner. The gambling went well for Angie and her mate but not so well for myself or Kevin. I lost a little, Kevin more & as usual Pete didn't bet at all.
It was late when we got back and we didn't end up going to sleep til after 2am. We are supposed to get back on the road tomorrow but that was looking unlikely as we headed for bed.
