Got up at 8.30am and had breakfast before walking to Namestie Republiky metro station to buy a 24 hour metro pass and catching a train to Malostranska station. Caught bus number 23 up the hill to Prague Castle.

Walked down to the castle entrance past Cernin Palace>, the Loreta and the Archbishop's Palace. Arrived at the castle entrance just before the Changing of the Guard at noon before going on a tour of the castle visiting St.Vitus Cathedral with its excellent views over Prague, All Saints Chapel, Basilica of St.George and the Golden Lane.

Left the castle and walked through the Mala Strana district past Wallenstein Palace and through Malostranske Square to the Charles Bridge with its views of the Vltava River. Crossed Charles Bridge and walked past the Klementium and St.Klement's Church through to the Old Town Square with the Old Town Hall and its Astromonical Clock, the Tyn Church and St.Nicholas Church.

We then walked back towards the hotel past the Powder Tower. Rested at the hotel before catching the metro to Mustek station and paying for our trip to Cesky Krumlov on Thursday. Ate dinner at a nearby Chinese Restaurant before returning to the hotel for the night.
