After a sleep in we walked to the old town and went to the Croatia Airlines office to pick up our tickets for the flight to Zagreb tomorrow before starting on our walking tour of the old town.
We started at Pile Gate and walked past the Church of St.Saviour and the Onofrio Fountain down Placa to the Clock Tower and the Sponza Palace which housed a display on those that lost their lives defending Dubrovnik during the recent war.
We then walked down Pred Dvorom past St.Blaise's Church (which was undergoing restoration), the City Hall and the Rector's Palace.
After a break for lunch we then went on a walk around the city walls starting near Pile Gate. The walls gave excellent views of Fort Lovrijenac, Lokrum Island and the the old town including a view down Placa to the Clock Tower and the contrasts of the old and new roof tiles post war. After walking around the walls, which
took a little over an hour we returned to the hotel as the rain set in.
