So they say the South Island has amazing scenery and we just wanted to get out there and see it!! We left christchurch and drove through a tunnell and literally on the other side was amazing scenery...gorgous green hills, with gorgous blue lakes the camera came out immediately and we were wowing!!! we took a scenic route to Akaroa which is just out on a peninsula to the side of christchurch, we drove through really winding roads with loads of sheep on the hills. I dont think I can describe the scenery as anything but breathtaking, it was lovely!! We made it into Akaroa and it was a lovely little place with a little harbour and had a french influence so all the streets had french names. We found a caravan park and just chilled out overlooking this gorgous harbour, the next day we lazed on thios massive green enjoyiong the surroundings and we did have a little walk along the beach but moslty we did nothing which is nice!!!
