Well family and friends we can thankfully say we found a toilet only a few villages away from our free camp. We would like to thank the NZ tourism board and the contracters who build the toilets and our biggest tahnks go out to our parents for our amazing colons.......
So we hit the road after breakfast by the beach. Another fairly windy drive but we did finally reach ou destination Dunedin, the City of people, Worlds steepest hill and The Cadburys factory. We parked up and went straight to the Factory and managed to get on a ready departing tour. We were shown a video and given samples, munch munch munch!!!!!!! We then got taken through part of the factory to a massive silo and climbed up a spiral staircase insidewhich was warm, sticky and very slippery. We got to the top and our very spotty guide who'd eatten too much chocolate and was a Uni Geek said with saliva dribbling down his top do you want me to press this button. Everyone went YES and he did, man this is what it must've been like when T-REX went to the toilet. Everyone was in awe (no this wasn't the saviour). A massive waterfall of chocolate came flowing down, the noise was deafening, infact Ellie and I are now hard of hearing and need some cheap hearing aids. Next we went to the info centre and picked up some leaflets on things to do. Dunedin has a very Scottish feel, and has the only castle in NZ. There is alot to do but it involves money $$$$!!!!! So we went on the internet and then went to The WORLDS STEEPEST residential street. We pulled up and were disgusted, we both looked at each other and marched up, I ran and Ellie followed. About 10 metres up we were both Knackered and decided to walk, took us a good 10-15mins to get to the top. We could now appreciate why it was the world steepest residential street. Getting down was easier and I think there was a training session going on for a overweight lady but she done really well!!! Paeople run up and down in 2 mins flat (maybe next time)!!!
So we sent to our Caravan park and got some meat and some salad and settled in for the night. We had a really good day and recommend the factory tour, mmmmm!!!!!!!
Next stop The Catlins.........................
