From Monkey Mia it was quite a drive up to Carnarvon where we camped at a caravan park so we could catch up on showers and clothes washing, before heading off the next day to see the blow holes and magnificent scenery on the 4 wheel drive tracks that take you out to Quobba and Gnaraloo stations.
The Blow Holes was where the survivors of the German Raider Kormoran came ashore, after the sinking of Australia's flag ship The Sydney.
We were surprised that we had actually clocked up about 500 klms looking at this section of coastline before getting back to the North West Coastal Highway and continuing onwards.
