The dolphins of Monkey Mia are known all around the world. When we were travelling overseas and said we came from WA, Monkey Mia was almost inevitably mentioned. Well, that was if they had ever HEARD of Western Australia - many haven't!
We got to see the dolphins at close range on a beautiful clear, hot sunny Australia day and enjoyed the experience again.
Postscript: We were not to know this visit that in 2012 we would move to Shark Bay and Avan work with the dolphins of Monkey Mia doing the Ranger talk. See blogs from 2012 & 2013.
