Hi,

On 18th June 1982 my cousin Iain MacQueen of Balloan Farm was married to Janette MacKenzie from Gairloch in the FP Church at Chapel Street, Inverness. My late father Rev Donald MacLean officiated. The reception was in Drumossie Hotel, south of Inverness.

Forty years on we gathered again at Drumossie to celebrate their Ruby Wedding with Iain and Janette. A lovely dinner was served up in a private dining room and we had a video presentation of film clips from family not able to attend. As well as messages from Scotland we heard from places as far away as Eire and New Zealand. Iain's wee sister Christine had composed a poem. Poetry seems to be a gift of the MacQueen's and if Christine is willing to pass it over I will add it to this blog in due course. (hint, hint!)

The blog is just a brief introduction to the photos. I have included a few photos from the original wedding which I scanned in. I hope this gives a flavour of the occasion, which was a memorable day out. Thanks to Hugh and Andrea for organising.
