We never intended to rest up here at Rissbach (near Traben-Trarbach) but we broke a 5th spoke yesterday morning. We found a bike shop that had just shut for lunch so we loitered for almost 2 hours waiting for it to open. The plan is to revert back to plan A which was to tour with a trailer taking the load and strain off the rear wheel. We had a trailer, we toured with it and then we sold it. It creates other problems so we were determined to manage without it. The shop couldn't get us trailer until Monday and in the meantime they could rebuild our rear wheel. We decided to try and sort the trailer ourselves so we pushed on a few more miles to a campsite. Yesterday evening we ordered a trailer on the internet for delivery to Rissbach campsite - delivery 1 to 3 days. Now we are awaiting to hear when we will receive it. There is a bike shop near here so next is getting the rear wheel rebuilt. so we may be here for a few days but hopefully we can make Titty better and stay better (should never have changed the original plan). There are far worse places to be held up at though! We may go on a day cruise along the Moselle tomorrow if we have to wait another day for delivery.
