Monday 11th Sep - We only took one photo during today's ride! It started with a 400 metre killer climb, it was wet and windy. Then on the descents we froze our asses off. Donna was wrapped up like it was winter. The sole photo was a dithering Donna having lunch in a bus shelter. Then the sun came out and we finished in Suhl, Very pretty centre, our digs looked frightening on the outside, if we hadn't already booked it we wouldn't have considered it. Actually it was fine. After another day of slogging uphill, and not really having time to stop and be tourists and being cold and tired legs we were both ready to throw the towel in. The load may be lighter but there wasn't any pleasure in today's ride. Must put the fun back into our road trip. Tuesday 12th Sep - we decided not to pedal all day and booked a hostel in Ziegenruck just 40 km away, Sunny, flat start and then two good climbs but we were finished for lunch. Hostel amazingly clean and has a kitchen. Donna's cooking dinner. A proper bed has sorted Donna's back out, she's back to normal. We both just need some easy days of pedalling. Yesterday was a downer, today is an upper.
