Hello! Made it Gisborne, NZ's most easterly city so one of the first in the World to greet in the new day! Its a strange place...! There is a nice highstreet though with plently of shops etc and bars. Its where Captain Cook first touched NZ soil so there is a statue somewhere, lots of nice walks to do around the town! Unspoilt countryside all around, beautiful rolling green hills and huge gorges!! Not many tourists either which is cool! Need a car to explore it...

Hi Guys! Waiting around for a bus to Taupo so thought Id update my blog from yesterday! I went to Waiotapo Thermal Wonderland, was soooo cool!! Better geothermal stuff than the previous place so glad I went. I also really wanted to see the Champagne Pool thats always on Tv so that was awesome...but it stinks. Awesome to see the lady knox geyser which erupts at 10.15 everyday..altough its encouraged but a guy who puts organic soap into the chamber...bit off a rip...

Hello Dudes! Im now in Rotorua! The city (if you can call it that!) that smells of rotton eggs..nice. Its not a joke either I noticed it on the bus here and it hums! So I have left Marlin for a while but will be meeting up with her again, possibly on the South Island. Arrived yesterday and booked a trip to Te Puia which is a Maori cultural centre, which also combines with the geothermal stuff! This area of NZ is the most geothermally active aswell...steam com...

Hello! Went to Tauranga today as planned! Weather isnt as nice...actually quite chilly! Its Waitangi day today (when the Maori people gained equality in NZ) so everywhere was shut...annoying! had lumch with Marlyn in a lovely Turkish resturant...falafal pitta and dips gallore!! Caught the ferry back to Mt M and climbed the hill/mountain which was lovely! Views were great so it was worth the climb in the heat! Got a lush ice cream afterwards and sat by the sea. ...
