One word to describe this place and its Wonderful!!! Cant actually believe such places still exist...what a great country!! Milford Sound is set in the Fiordland National Park and it is actually a Fiord...great! We stayed in a lovely place and camped right in the forest next to Waterfalls. The drive down was amazing....waterfalls were just falling down all around us and at every bend we took! Went through a huge bridge that cuts through the hill too (more on that later!). We were woken up again by these kea birds (parrot like things that make the worst noise!!!)...got to actually see them the following moring when they were casually pecking away at the flower display!!! they also scratched our car at Fox Glacier!!!! And pecked through our tent!!

Anyway the following day we caught a boat ride all along the Milford Sound and it was great. So peaceful and just lovely! Very pretty...saw rainbows through the waterfalls! I have some lovely pics I will put here soon. Sandflies gallore here though (if I havent already mentioned they bite and you cant hear them unlike mosquitoes!). Ha I also found out that they can crawl through our Mossi net......!!!!!!!

Great place though....def in my top five in NZ!!!! xxxx
