We LOVE KL!!!
We arrived at the hotel which is huge and it confused us as you had to check in on the 9th floor due to the shopping mall below the hotel. I put on my smart accent for check in and we got an upgrade as I told him we were on our honeymoon. HA! The room is huge. I read about the hotel before we got there and some people suggested that you ask for a smoking room as you get a balcony and a view of the Petronas Towers. So I did and we got a balcony looking down on the pool and a great view of the skyline! By the time we had dropped our bags off it was around 5 so we headed out to get some dinner. There was only one place we were going to go.... BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP!!!!!!! It was awesome. They had pictures of Forest Gump everywhere and played the film on the TV. Rikki bought loads merchandise!
The next day we slept in untill about 11 as the bed was rediculously comfy. We headed to the Petronas Towers which are really pretty and there is a huge shopping mall next to them. They have Tiffany's, Chanel, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Harrods, Cartier, Hugo Boss and...... Marks & Spencers!! Rikki loved it... I wasnt so impressed. Luckily she was only allowed to window shop! Mum & Nat you would love it! Dad, you would hate it. Outside the mall and directly under the towers was a small park area that had a pool, playground and fountains that changed colour at night. We were very impressed. We have come back here every night so far, but around 4/5 ish we go for a swim in the outdoor pool on the 11th floor at the hotel. The pool faces the skyline and is also 10ft deep. So I can dive in now without banging my head.
Today we went up the Menara Tower which is an oversized Emily Moor Mass. We were a little let down. We also went to Chinatown. That was also a let down as it had Subway, Starbucks, McDonalds and a Nandos! I was expecting a load of Chinese weird food. Rikki got a snowglobe though so the trip wasnt wasted!! We had a Japanese for lunch which was really cheap. 12 dishes and it cost a tener. That would of cost 30/40 quid at home!
We fly to Krabi tomorrow so for our last night in KL we are going to chill by the fountains and people watch under the twin towers...
Also, Dad, Robbie Fowler is doing a book signing tomorrow in a bookstore between 1 and 3. Shame it wasnt today!

Anne8 KL sounds very exciting, hotel sounds lovely too - nothing like 5 star is there? Don't know why people say money doesn't make you happy, I could have a jolly good try!! Pam and I tried to get an upgrade on our flight but they were having none of it! Got to plan a trip with your mum as well now for 2014 if possible - better ask your dad if she can come with us!! Hope you enjoy Krabi, look forward to reading about it on your blog.x
