Luang Prabang is awesome! In fact Laos is in my top 5 countries I have visited. Yesterday we visited caves and waterfalls which were spectacular and also a museum which was pants.
We had a free day today so we went on an elephant trek, fed the elephants and went for a swim under a waterfall. The swim helped as it reached nearly 40 degrees. The room however is 1000 degrees and the fan seems to generate more warm air!
Tomorrow we head for Vang Vieng which will take about 8 hours by bus. I would highly suggest visiting Laos! And as for the toilet situation on the boat... it was a western toilet :p
Only a few more days left in Laos before we head to Vietnam :)

Anne Your hotel in Luang Prabang looks lovely and 40 degrees sounds wonderful - its come a bit cooler here. However Steve and I are looking forward to 27 or 28 degrees in Skiathos on Friday. Enjoyed the walk with your mum on Saturday night and remembered that you had suggested we all did it and dressed up!! Mmm only three of us representing the family, got to get more next year. Had a great few days chasing round after Joseph who is all over the place now - a real little character. Have a good journey to Vang Vieng. x
Natalie A museum?? You hate them anyway!! Haha. Glad you enjoying it. I'm very jealous!! Oh and FYI... There are pictures of us looking horrendous on the Wakefield hospice website from last years walk!! Haha. Have you had toilet problems yet?! Hehe xx
Liz Wow lucky you! we just had tea with Chris and Ruth in the Red Kite. Coming quite cold here now. Nat stayed last night as she did't have any water she is having a new boiler fitted, think she would prefer to spend her money travelling!! Love to you both mum xx
Judd Sounds amazing. Mum and I are seriously thinking of a trip, especially as there was a western toilet. Following you agenda and planning ahead we note that you are going to a mulberry farm. This sealed the holiday for Mum, until I explained that this is a fruit farm and not a handbag store. xx
