Catherine and I got a bus at 8:10am to go back to Wanaka as it had seemed like a really nice place to spemnd a few days at. We arrived there at 10am and checked into Base hostel in a 10 bed dorm. We were going to sunbathe at the lakefront but as it was a bit windey we asked in the inforamtion bureau about any good walks that they had that weren't too strenuous as we were still a bit tired from the late night that we had. She recommended doing the Mount Iron Walk so we set off to do the 2 hour loop. The steep paths were worht it for the view that we had at the top as it was breathtaking. We could see the lake below and the mountains surrounding it. It was so quiet up there as there was no-one else around. We stayed up there a couple of hours sunbathing and admiring the views and chatting. When we saw it was getting late we decided to head back so that we could make the 4pm film showing at the cinema.
The cinema in Wanaka is uniques as it has sofasand an old car in it for you to sit on. You can also order dinner to have in the interval. We watched Twilight and gort some popcorn to eat on our comfy sofa's. It felt a bit like you were watching a film in your front room, especially as there were only five of us in there! At the interval I had a burger at the cafe outside the screen. After the film we went back to change to head out for a drink and saw Huw on the way. We bought a bottle of Rose to drink on the balcony of a bar at the lake and stayed there until it was closing time.
