Day 4 More car dramas this morning that eventually got sorted out and we finally got our car at 11am. A bit later thsn we had hoped. Because of the stress or for reasons unknown we were upgraded to a bigger car. We are now driving a Hyundai Santa Fe with leather interior. It is very comfartable. We set out from London without too many problems though the traffic was bad until just past the airport. We had in our minds to visit the windmill from Chitty Chitty B...

Day 4 Just a quick note to say the car is sorted. There was a problem with the computers and our car wasn't showing up. Poor Annie must have been frantic because we only discovered it when it was late Australian time. Anyway all good now. We are off for breakie soon on a sunshining day in the UK and ready for our driving adventure.

Day 3 London Started another rainy day by the Thames at breakfast. Thankfully the rain doesn't last all day and by the time we get to the changing of the guards it was sunny. Day 2 Well it's a rainy day in London town but the sun still gets up before 5am. The sleeping tablet worked a treat and we al sleep til 7. Breakfast is buffet looking out the window onto the Thames while the rain falls down. We definitely have to get a sim today so we head off to the shopping area of Mayfair. We get off the tube at Bond Street - green if I remember rightly from Monopoly. Now here we find lots and lots of shops. Sim card in we head off to Handels...

Continued from previous...after we got back from the Globe theatre we were able to get into our room and get changed and shower. It was so good just to be able to relax and get changed - we had been in the same clothes for over 24 hours. We refreshed and then went to try and find a phone shop to get the Internet happening.
