Sunday 23rd
We woke up about 7.30am and then sat around chatting about people, relationships and the problems of the world.
The little chap from next door came over, he is only 6 months old.
Sue and Jo retreated to Vicki while Mal played with his photos.
Occasional rain showers passed maintained the humidity at the top end of the scale.
Drive around town in the afternoon, and down to the beach for a look at Quetta Beach.
Sunday Annette and fish for tea

We did the booking the Lakefield NP
We were inspired by art works at the Gallery
We drove down to the beach for photos

We met some of Jo's friends at the airport motel.
We ate a dugong stir fry for tea.
Tuesday 25th
After a slow start to the day, we went up to Jo's class and Mal played some songs for the kids - little Matilda was our brown eyed girl and young Ryan was in love with that guitar - he may become a musician if he sticks at it.
After a rather unruly morning tea with the kids at school we walked down to the café for coffee and muffins - very nice we would add.
About 1.30 we went to the PO counter at the council which is only open fron 1-3pm each day - we did get a parcel for Christina but because we did not know what she was looking for and the girl behind the counter was a bit out of her depth - we did not manage to get what she really wanted.
We wanted to get some fuel in Jo's car, so we went to the servo which is card operated - so Mal is manning the pump and Sue is doing the card thing. A lady pulls in with a small school boy in tow. He comes over to see what Mal is doing - he snuggles up to Mal, puts arm around Mal and listens to the fuel rushing through the fuel hose - these people are so emotional - they are happy, they are sad, they are kind, they are angry - it is a rich kaleidoscope of emotional energy.
We did the shopping and were home when Christina and Tom dropped in with their lunch under their arms to arrange the evening spot lighting excursion.
Jo came home from school and we heard about her day which is usually a bitter sweet experience for one reason or another.
Christina and Tom went off on the palm cockatoo research project for their afternoon session. Then they showed up for tea as had been arranged.
Spotlighting - we drove out to the road junction and all jumped into Jo's car - we drove slowly along the road, Christina sat on the bull bar with her spotlight - we all looked and looked - a small brown frog became a celebrity for one night - then we looked and looked and looked, but no green pythons, we looked up, we looked around, we searched but not a single cus cus was seen - the best entertainment for the night was Christina some belly dives into the dry leaves to finally catch another brown frog.
We slept in Vicki, the light breeze tickled the leaves, a dog here and another over there sang a mournful duet and then far away a soft lick of music wafted in and out of hearing - this was the first night the boom box had off since we had arrived in Lockhart River.
