5th December Saturday Car is clean and ready so we choose to have a quiet day. We set up under an outdoor shade shelter and spend the day painting. In the afternoon the long beaked corellas go to town, squawking and carrying on very loudly. The day was going to be hot but turned out quite nice. 30 November Monday Into Victoria We broke camp, said good-bye to our short-term neighbours and drove down to Khancoban for morning tea. Tuesday 16th December - Swan Hill to Echuca Rear brake is metal onto metal - all the rear pad lining gone kaput!!!! I thought of the scene in the "grapes of Wrath" where they had to fix the big end on their engine half way to California - surely we can make it 150k with a stuffed rear brake. Course we can.
