FRIDAY 2/09/16
We motored along through light showers and clear patches as we approached Augathella. We had left prior to breakfast as the pre rain wind gusts were threatening and so Augathella was breakfast.
We drove down through town and noticed a couple waiting to cross the road up ahead, Mal slowed but they did not take the opportunity to cross so mal drove past and they gave us a cheery smile.
We parked up in the free camp area by the levee to make breakfast which we promptly had organised. Then we hear this cheery, "Hello" and lo and behold it is our pedestrian couple.
Ann and Klaus introduce themselves as, soon to be members of the Active Camper family. So it is not raining at this point in time so we talk AC's and eventually they share coffee and cake for morning tea. Well then the rain comes and so we retire to Mal's "Flyfree Café" where we chat, laugh and eventually have lunch before we break up the party around 2.30pm.
Of course what happens in the Flyfree, stays in the Flyfree, so the proceeding cannot be divulged.
The rain had eased and we headed North towards Tambo as the rain ran out of steam and was turned to sunshine not long after we arrived in Tambo.
We had a fantastic evening with Lyn and Darryl and camped out on the street as the neighbours sat on their front steps and talked till long after Mal had nodded off.
