So, we eventually arrived after a 3 hour delay in our flight. It didn't dampen our spirits too much and Nicola was very content with the £5 meal voucher we each received to apologise for the inconvenience.
Our hostel is in a great location, very central. After checking in, we went out to explore. The heat surrounds you and it's strange being warm! We walked to the plaza mayor, a food market and some other notable land marks which I will be able to tell you more about after a walking tour we are doing tomorrow at 11am.
We had paella in the Plaza to celebrate our first night and were entertained by a man on the accordion and I was reminded of Barcelona when I saw the flower selling men swarming the tables of tourists.
On the way back to bed we were coerced into a bar for a free sangria. It was easier to accept than to walk away..
Now back at the hostel I am doing some research of the plan of action for the next few days, lots to consider!
