I had thought I would go to A Coruña for the day but some of the staff said to me it wasn't that amazing and I thought it would be nice to spend the day with people at the hostel.
At 11 we went to a museum. Most museums are free on Sunday mornings in Spain and this one was no exception. It was about the Galician population and their history. Galicia is a region of Spain (Santiago DC is part of Galicia) and they have their own language, gallego. It is like a mix of Spanish and Portuguese. The museum was attached to a church that we could also visit.
We had a walk around the streets and went back to the Cathedral again.
In the afternoon we played cards in the garden, I will try and remember the rules of the game for when I get home!
At about 6, the sky went dark and lightening once again lit up the sky. We moved inside. Ollie, the British guy, led a yoga class for us, which was really good.
Later, the 5 of us went out for a meal. The restaurant was like a cave and we ate some good food. Although we were not impressed with one of our tapas: tomatoes with guacamole, nuts and honey- it sounds delicious and it was, but we paid €5 and we didn't even get a whole tomato. It was just 2 slices!
On getting back to the hostel, I joined some people who were watching 'The Hunger Games' in Spanish on the TV and after it finished I went outside and played a few final rounds of the card game.

Daf Sounds like a nice sociable day. Looking forward to all these new card games you're learning. What other food did you have that was nice (you only told us about the nice but expensive dish) xx
