I wanted to make the most of the day I had in Valencia and luckily I met people who also wanted to do things.
One girl found a bike tour for €2 (plus a tip at the end) and after being sent between 2 different shops, all 6 of us were given bikes and we joined the 14- strong tour. I think we may have annoyed many locals as we rode in one long long line.
It was a good tour though and it was nice to see parts of Valencia I haven't seen before. It's a great city.
After the tour we had a walk around the food market before eating lunch back at the hostel.
The beach was the next stop and 8 of us from the hostel went there. It was a hard journey to the beach as I took my bags with me as I had to leave from the beach. I had time for a quick dip, very refreshing. Then after saying farewell to everybody i started my 3.4km trek, which doesn't sound massively far but with my rucksacks and the sun beating down it was pretty grim. At least most of it was along the beach front! I met my Bla Bla car at 6pm and now I'm on the way to Zaragoza. I think it's a 3.5hr journey. Tomorrow I will meet Joanna, a friend from uni.

Caryn Valencia looks like a picturesque and beautiful city. Bet it was hot exploring by bike, but nice you were able to do this with your new friends. The beach looks very busy, but I'm sure a dip in the sea was very welcome. Sounds like quite a walk in the heat with your luggage! Enjoy meeting up with Joanna xxx
Daf Bike ride sound fun but a bit sweaty as does the hike with back pack. It'll be nice to have a traveling friend again how long is Joanna with you? Xx
Laura Just a bit sweaty! Meeting up with Joanna just for the day because she is working in Zaragoza.
