Due to a late arrival of the Korean Air flight, we had an amazingly tight connectiin in Rome. But we made it.

We got up early, headed to the airport, got a lovely gift at the business lounge for our ongoing loyalty and tokk the flight to Rome. We then took the train and visited the famous Pyramid and non-Catholic cemetery. We then headed back to the airport and took the flight to Paris.

After another nice breakfast, we headed to town to see many churches at the Quirinal, Lateran and Esquilin. The thing that struck us most, is that while the churches themselves look mostly very well looked after, the same cannot be said about Rome - some parts of it are simply FILTHY! We ended our tour with a disappointing visit to the former Jewish Gettho, which was rather boring. Had a rather bad dinner at a non-kosher restaurant there and headed back to the ho...

Ok, so this day started rather late and lazy... . We got a ride to st. Peter's square as we really wanted to visit the Basilica, only to discover the square was pack with hundred of thousands of people and that the Pope was about to congratuate them for Easter. So naturally - we styed and listened to the Pope blessing everyone in 70 languages with the crowd cheering. That felt so international and SO awesome. We had a great day today. We started it by a very quick 3-hour tour of the Vatican museums, using e-tickets we've books online, thus saving us hours of waiting in endless lines. The museums were great but as we're not really art lovers, they were rather quick. We then went to St. Peter's square, which was lovely, but the cathedral was closed due to a ceremony for Easter, so we'll get back tomorrow.
