We started off the morning with a long walk along the Danube and reached Margaret's island, which is a beautiful island in the middle of the Danube. On the way, we passed by the Parliament building and noticed a memorial for the Jews who were slaughtered on the Danube bank - in a form of dozens of pairs of metal shoes, atached to the ground near the Danube bank. Chilling and sad. We walked the island for about an hour an a half, enjoying its forests, lack of cars...

Woke up to a rather rainy day in Budapest, had an incredible breakfast, and headed to the Buda part of the city. After a sleepless night and a 3.5 hours flight (which seemed to have taken forever), we finally landed in Budapest and took a taxi to the hotel. At the hotel, we (obviously) got an upgrade to a Club room with access to the Club lounge. Our room has an amazing view from the window - Buda castleand the Danube.
