After a sumptuous breakfast, I went to do some serious shopping at the AFI mall. After that, I returned for some lounging time and relaxing before my redeye flight back home. This has been another short (and sweet) visit to good ol' Bucharest. Merry Christmas, everyone.

Took a morning flight to Bucharest. The airport was very busy and the flight was eventually delayed by an hour, but we somehow managed to land 15 minutes later than scheduled. By 11AM I was checked-in my upgraded Executive room at the hotel. Went to do some shopping on a big store and later visited the lovely Christmas market near the Parliament Palace. In between - I lounged myself at the hotel's awesome Executive lounge.

After a good night sleep and a lovely breakfast, we headed to the Jumbo mega store for some lovely shopping, went to a huge supermarket to continue the shopping and then visited a sports store. We then returned to the hotel for some lounge time and a small dinner. Before checking out, we managed to squeeze another visit to AFI mall, for some more shopping, and then we headed to the airport for our red-eye flight.

Today we took an early business flight to Bucharest (after experiencing a lovely lounge at the airport). The flight was uneventful, and less than 15 minutes after landing - we were on the taxi with our luggage, heading to the hotel. We checked in, got upgraded to a lovely Executive suite and went to explore the city for a while. After walking for a long, long time, we returned to the hotel for some lounging, rest, a small dinner, and then we were off to AFI mall,...

After a lovely lounge and spa experience, I took the evening flight to Bucharest. The 2.5 hours flight was eventless, but we were delayed in the bus taking us to the airplane for over half an hour. Grrr... . Upon landing, I was out of the airport in less than 10 minutes (no luggage this time) and headed to the hotel (a 10- minute drive). The hotel was an average 4-star hotel on the outskirts of Bucharest.
