Today we got on a train to the beautiful, semi-majestic city of Toledo. We admired its ancient streets, met the three monotheistic religions, had a REALLY bad lunch and worked on our cardio with the intense slopes of the city. A great dinner finished our time in Madrid. Early tomorrow morning we`re off to Lisbon. G`night!

Had a nice day on the city. Visited a church, a dumb wax museum, two nice art museums, some parks and and ancient Egyptian temple. We concluded our day in an Italian restaurant. Tomorrow, we`re off to a day tour in Toledo. Adios! :-)

What a day! We managed to squeeze so much into it, it was amazing. As we got the MadridCard, we managed to visit 5 museums, 2 parks and do some long city walks. While not all museums were to our likings, we did enjoy the exprience as a whole, modern, ultra modern and classic art. When we finished the day, we were too exhausted to even move, so we got some room service. Lazy us... . :-)

Our trip started a bit bumpy when our flight was delayed for an hour due to a sick passenger. We arrived to Madrid after an ok flight, spent almost an hour at the airport and headed to the hotel by taxi. Check in was a breeze. We were upgraded twice to a Junior suite. The room was lovely and the Club was great. We spent the entire day in Old Madrid and especially enjoyed Palacio Real. In the evening, we went for a late dinner and waited for the Metro for ages. It...

The weather didn't smile at us today, but we sure as hell didn't let it bother us. We arranged for a late checkout, went to se Gaudi's Guell park and then went to Blau museum, which is a very nice natural history museum near our hotel. We finished off our trip with some shopping at a nearby mall and headed for the airport (after a rushed shower at the hotel's gym). :) Thus ends our short trip to Barcelona. It was wonderful. :)))
