We started the long drive from Akureyri to Retkjavik with sunny skies.
We went to Osar, to see the seals colony but were struck by a blizzard and had to give it a miss.
We then continuedtowards the Barnafoss and Hraundfossar waterfalls.
Part of the way was blocked by a freak blizzard, but we somehowmanaged to get to the gorgeous blueish-greenish falls.
Just as we left, a heacy snow storm appeared out of nowhere.
We continued towards Reykjavik and decided to use the toll tunnel (apx. 10 US$), which saved us apx, an hour drive.
We reached our very first hotelin Iceland at around 19:00 and were given the exact same room. :)
We later had a decent dinner at a nearby restaurant and caught up with friends. :)
Tomorrow it's all about Keflavik and the area, and hopefully - the Blue Lagoon. :)
