I have now successfully finished placement for the week! It's been fun and I've learnt some bits and bobs and have come accross lots of potential ethical matters to discuss in my report when I return to England.
Yesterday we went to store bay despite the odd bit of torrential rain. We did get some scoring sun whilst on the beach, it's too hot to lie down for long before you have to go in the sea to cool down. I had a chicken roti for lunch near the beach and I wasn't too keen. To be honest I'm craving a BLT sandwich, fish and chips and a roast dinner (as well as a Starbucks mocha frappchino). The food is odd here, all the lunch options seem to be huge portions o chicken and other bits and bobs in a sauce. It's not be cup of tea. I am finding the fruit here lovely, the bananas taste amazing (and there's a little stall opposite the hospital that sells lots of nice fresh fruit). Last night was another early night, I was in bed by 8 reading my nice kindle as I was just too tired to function. I don't know whether it's because I'm getting up at 6am or the heats making me tired.
Today was the usual hospital in the morning during a caribbean storm (notes by the wet a&e floor). I then decided to have a break from the beach and come home to relax. Later on we are heading to a nightclub called shades. There's a big group of us so it should be fun!
Theres not much else to say really, I have horrific blisters on my feet from my hospital shoes and from flip flops so walking is a general painful nightmare (I wish I has my ugg boots to wear).
