I've had a busy two days. Shades nightclub last night was a good giggle. After reading Internet reviews and hearing what people say about the place I was rather apprehensive to say the least. Luckily we had no problems what so ever. Rum punch was drank and lots of dancing was done to a mixture of rnb chart music and soco (Trinidad and tobagos own music). So yes, a really fun night even if I did wake this morning with a slight hangover!

Today we went on our first day trip. The glass bottom boat departed from pidgeon point and headed out to bucco reef. It was a magnificent view through the glass an we had a lesson about the different coral and fish. We then went snorkelling over the reef and saw lots of fish. My favourite was a bright blue one that pretty much glowed, I called it the rave fish! We then jumped back on the boat/dragged myself onto the boat and visited the nylon pool. An area in the sea that's about 50cm deep on coral reef sand that has stories associated with it. Some swimming and paddling and gawping at the beautiful views we headed back inshore. The coastline of Tobago is magnificent. The rolling golden beaches and numerous palm trees make a rather splendid photo (mum I've taken a lot of photos that you can sit and admire).

After returning to the apartment and accidentally letting a poorly bird in through the balcony I headed to bacolet beach to meet up with the other medics. It's rather nice having a beach across the road as all I have to take is myself and my towel. All the seaweed has left the beach now as well which makes it more habitiable! The waves were still a bit big though but least it makes it exciting, you never know when you are going to get knocked over! What fascinates me on the beach is the crabs that move at an incredible speed! They pop up from the sand and launch themselves at the sea at the speed of light.

I am currently feeling a little bit sunburnt but don't look red. Oo on the tan front on the boat there was a group of south americans. I compared the colour of my legs with their Latino skin, and I was the same shade! Score! Anyway off out for dinner tonight as it's a saturday and there's a restaurant like 5 mins walk so we are going to try it.
