I never realised till recently how quickly time passes, especially when you cannot recall what you have been doing all week. I have received my money from the UK and am almost fully set up now in Australia but for the life of me I do not know how this week has gone so quickly!
To the title of this blog...Paul the guy from Bristol to me has now been dubbed 'Mr Free'. Mainly because if there is anything free or on a really good offer at the moment, he's going to know about it! It's actually become a running joke with us to ask him every single day if he has received anything free yet! You should see his face and disappointment when he says no *laugh*.
Anyway, Paul's roommate works at the hostel and every week the hostel is given a free drinks voucher worth $50 but since no one really goes out it gets used by them in a place called Mustangs. However, this week he had a date so Paul decided to ask both Teresa and I if we would like to come with him instead. My first night out in Perth ended in a little place called Mustangs where they play live music and serve the strongest cider at a whopping $9 per pint! (At least it is a pint and not one for those schooner things). The night was good, I got to meet a lot of people (for some reason mainly Irish miners) and realised how much of a light weight I really am when it comes to alcohol now. Sorry to disappoint you guys back home but when I come back I might be t-total *laugh*.
Due to being just that little bit lazy I haven't actually booked my transport for Monday yet so I will have to stay on in Perth for another couple of days and look at getting a car to take me on my planned 2 weeks round South Western Australia. Will keep everyone posted on where I am going and when etc *smile*.
The picture is of the War memorial in Kings Park with the Perth CBD as the backdrop just as the sun was setting behind me.
