We got up and decided to take breakfast at Valley Lake as the Blue Lake has no picnic area. NOT before I took a walk in the rest area and discovered a headless kangaroo this morning... We went into Penola bright and early this morning to discover that the tourist office wasn't open yet...whoops, so we went for a brew and a walk around the town. Today was more of a transit day to be honest. After another wet and windy night on KI we went in search of fuel before taking in the last things we needed to see before leaving the island. We had intended to get on the road early this morning but despite being up at 6am we still didn't start to travel till nearly 8am. Today we were off to Flinders Chase National park. On arrival at the park we had a coffee once the visitors centre opened. The guy was very helpful and told us all the things to see and what was still open in winter. It was an early start to the day as Bea and I prepared to leave the farm and head towards kangaroo island. We had a surprise visit from Judith at about 6am to say goodbye and then another one slightly more shocking from Sven lol.
