Well what an emotional morning. Exactly the same emotions I had the day of leaving the UK. Excited but at the same time scared of the unknown. Had the added emotion of leaving Chels though today. We had our last breakfast together and then she walked me to get a taxi. Was so sad leaving her, it's been such an amazing three months and I can't believe I won't see her for another three months. That will be the longest we have ever gone without seeing each other.
The airport at Koh Samui was a very pleasant experience. The road leading up to the gate was like a little outlet village, and at the gate was very comfortable seating with free food and drink. The toilets even had a massive fish tank in them. Flight was over before I knew it, and back in Bangkok. Staying at the Chern again, and didn't fancy the 400baht taxi ride all on my own (no more splitting taxi fares now). So wondering round the airport I seen a sign for the city line and thought why not. Well it was great, for 45baht I got an overground train right into the city. Great views coming in and as I sat there on my own, I felt pretty proud that I was sat on a Thai train rocking about Bangkok all on my own. This solo travelling is pretty liberating haha.
Popped out to do some needed shopping (on pair of sunglasses number 5) and then came back. Skyped the whole family together as they were round mum and dads for breakfast which was very nice!!!
Then I met up with a group of Oz lads I met during full moon and we all went out for drinks on Khaosan Road. Much busier than the last time I went.
I'm defiantly sad to be leaving Thailand tomorrow. It has been the country to surprise me the most yet. It really is a beautiful place. I'll be coming back at some point during this trip though. Flying to Cambodia tomorrow where I feel the real solo travelling begins. Well not too much as I got the amazing surprising news that my uncle Craig has booked to come out on holiday and meet me in Cambodia. So very much looking forward to seeing him and doing some sight seeing. Great surprise.
