Another busy week for us in Sydney with lots on. We had a quiet night Friday to prepare ourselves for the Randwick Races on Saturday. The racecourse is 10 minutes walk from ours so we got dressed up (well as dressed up as our limited wardrobe allowed) and headed down with our mates.
We had arranged to meet with a couple we met in Africa who live in Wollongong (an hours drive from Sydney) and there friends in there. We all met up and it was good seeing them again and finding out what they had been up to.
The races itself was a good laugh and there was plenty of drinking being done during the day. There were 9 races and we even managed to pick a winner although we did end up down for the day. Everyone that was out with us ended up pretty wrecked and all went seperate ways. We went to a local pub for a few more before grabbing a curry and heading home.
On Sunday we nursed our hangovers and took it easy going to the local park for the day. But on Easter Monday we went to Bondi and watched some of the surfers. Think we will need to give it a go at some point. Did the coastal walk down from Bondi to Coogee which was really nice as well.
Spent the rest of the week working, which is still going well and went out to the pub quiz last night where we ended up last but managed to win two rounds of drinks for our table with a paper folded peacock that won the oragami round! Dont ask??!
